The Monroe Kennel Club Annual Dog Show will host Specialty Clubs on Friday, September 30th, and hold the All Breed Show on Saturday, October 1st, and Sunday, October 2nd at the Monroe County Fairgrounds. This will be our 61st consecutive Anniversary dog show!

Alaskan Malamute Weight Pull – Sponsored by Monroe Kennel Club, Inc.

Hosted by the Motown Working Alaskan Malamutes

Friday – Only open to Alaskan Malamutes.

Must weigh at least 40 pounds.

This pull is governed by Alaskan Malamute Club of America’s Weight Pull Rules.

Entries limited to the first 40 dogs.  Held outdoors in the Pavilion at the back of the fairgrounds.

Weigh In: 12:00 Noon – 12:45 p.m.  Handler’s Meeting: 1:00 p.m.  Pull Starts: 10 Minutes after Handler’s Meeting.

Regular Weight Pull & Novice Offered

Pre-Entry: $20.00 Per Dog & $15.00 Additional Dog due by September 25, 2016

After September 25, 2016: $25.00 Per Dog & $20.00 Additional Dog

Limited to 200 entries.

Monroe County Fairgrounds

3775 S. Custer Road

Monroe, MI 48161

From U.S. 23 Take the M-50 exit at Dundee. Take M-50 (also known as South Custer Road) east approximately 15 miles. The fairgrounds will be at the intersection of South Custer and Raisinville roads.

From I-75 North Exit at LaPlaisance Road, Exit 11. Go West to Dunbar Road. Turn left on Dunbar, going about 7-10 miles to Raisinville Road, where you turn right. The fairgrounds is located 1.5 miles on the corner of Raisinville and M-50.

From I-75 South Take the I-275 north exit to Telegraph Road (US-24, this will be the first exit). Take Telegraph Road south to M-50. Take M-50 west 3 miles to the fairgrounds.

From I-75 Exit 15 Take Exit 15 west to Elm Street (approximately 1 mile). Turn right on Elm Street and continue through town approximately 3.5 miles to Raisinville Road. Take a left on Raisinville. The fairgrounds are just over the river on the corner of Raisinville & M-50.
